Cumberland Hospital for Children and Adolescents believes that family involvement in the treatment process is of critical importance and value. Because of this, Cumberland has made available a variety of special services to families in order to complement their ability to commit fully to involvement in their child’s treatment and rehabilitation. These special services include three major areas: Assistance in obtaining ground transportation to and from hospital on admission from the Richmond Metropolitan area. Assistance in obtaining lodging either in motels/hotels or in Cumberland’s “Tranquil House”. Availability of an 800-toll free telephone line for contact with their child (1-800-992-9643).
