Garrett Hamilton
CEO
Garrett Hamilton has over 15 years of behavioral healthcare experience. He has dedicated his professional career to creating systems of care that provide efficient and effective services. Garrett has worked in the marketing, risk management, admissions, direct care, and operations fields at the community based services, group home, and psychiatric hospital levels of care. In addition to his professional positions, Garrett has served on a variety of non-profit boards, as well as local, regional, and state level advisory and planning committees.
Paula Roberts
COO/CNO
Paula Roberts joined the team at Cumberland in March 2000 and currently serves as the COO/CNO. Paula earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from University of Phoenix and has previous experience as both a Psychiatric Technician and RN in adult psychiatry. She has held the positions of staff nurse, nurse manager, assistant director of nursing and CNO.Heather Seward
CFO
Heather Seward joined Cumberland Hospital in November 2005 and currently serves as Cumberland Hospital’s Chief Financial Officer. Prior to promotion to CFO, she served for many years in the Assistant Controller role. Heather earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting from Christopher Newport University and immediately began building a career in financial leadership. When not working, Heather enjoys cooking and spending time with her family.
Dr. Jennifer Rice
PsyD, Clinical Director, Adolescent Girls Program
Hailing from Williamsburg, Virginia, Jennifer Rice joined the team at Cumberland Hospital in 2008. She worked at Cumberland before graduate school, coordinating clinical services in other residential programs. She then earned a doctorate in psychology from Florida Institute of Technology and is a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Virginia.
Passionate about helping people heal and recover to develop a life worth living, Rice enjoys being part of the team at Cumberland, helping staff and patients meet their potential and get excited about their life and job. When not busy working, she enjoys reading, gardening, cooking, hiking and animals. Her husband is also in public service, and she has three stepdaughters and a daughter.
